The Mom Look
I wonder what people think when given the words ‘the mom look’. I have to admit I am not sure if there are stereotypes when it comes to what a mother should look like. Mingling with a number of moms like me, I guess we all come in different shapes and sizes. Some are after the latest clothing trends, some on prevera reviews, while some on home furniture and decors. With a number of popular moms stepping into the limelight, then all the more a stereotype of a mother becomes more difficult to build. But each mom will have something common in mind. And its something that can’t be seen with just the looks!

Now Why Would You Want That?
Some of today’s products can be described as more than just being innovative. Even the way these are marketed has also gone further than just being creative! Well, last week I chanced to watch a show testing the effectiveness of anti-wrinkle products. Indeed the methodologies are different but they all promise one thing. Some are not just promising the best under eye wrinkle cream as they also offer other ‘gadgets’ to facilitate the process. But for me, what made it even more interesting are the people who try to use these. While there are celebrities who, thanks to similar products or procedures, are able to defy aging, at some point, it will just come. After all, aging comes with age.

Booked!
Autumn is well on its way and temperatures are slowly but surely starting to drop. But I have now booked my husband and the kids to a regular Saturday exercise at the park! We will probably do a few rounds at the oval and one we get going, do something more challenging like pull up bars. We’ll probably even do some park hopping (there’s a nearby park with exercise equipment!). Well, for now these are plans. But this is now booked and should happen!

School Break Catch-up
It is the last week of school break here in Sydney. A few days back, the kids and I went to a park and had a chance to catch up with one of my daughter’s classmate from pre-school. During the chit-chat with moms, I realized that a couple are working on some studies, perhaps to venture into different careers. I think getting equipped is a great step to get into work, perhaps leaving the rest to simple employment screening. I probably won’t go the same path to take the same course they’re into (accounting). Hey, but who knows?

Lights Up
Daylight Savings Time has ended the other day here in Sydney. That signals not only an earlier time for night time to creep in but also the signal for the colder days ahead. And while the colder days in this place is not as extreme as in other parts of the world, it is still something I will probably never get used to. Call it an allergy that can be hard to get some allergy relief. We’re getting ready with the ‘necessities’ of the season up ahead. The jackets have started to come out. It won’t be long and the heaters will be back in action.

Family Car
What are the characteristics of a family car? Well, other than carrying an entire family from point A to point B, there might be a few ‘markers’ of what this vehicle category could mean. And these pointers are not something the car insurance companies can easily spot. This is especially true if you have young active kids as regular passengers. Of course, you may start with at least one child car seat or booster. That in itself will challenge the sturdiness of the seats. Add some food crumbs, art work or crafts, and perhaps some toys and you’ll get a better picture. Obviously there would be a few unwanted scuff marks here and there. But the most important element for me is when we can hear stories, songs, and simple conversations that make a plain car a family car!

Up Down Left Right
Teaching kids to brush their teeth at an early age will definitely reap its benefits in the future. Yes, it probably starts with brushing up down left right. But this regular routine will hopefully turn out to be well instilled discipline. Anatomy aside, there will be less likely need for Plano dentist to do some work. Yes, starting young children may not be that simple. In fact, it may sometimes be messy with toothpaste and water scrambled all over the place. But again, we can all look beyond up down left right.
