Getting There

By reflexes July 29, 2008

A few months back, I wrote about RD training herself to run fast for the school Cross Country Carnival. She didn’t win anything then but we were glad because at least she wasn’t the last to come to the finish line.

At the end of last term, once again the school held their Athletics Carnival. I stayed and watch RD run. I saw that her running skills were getting better. Not only she runs faster but she also has the endurance to run longer laps. Though she didn’t get the first place, I know she was happy that she was in the top 10 runners on her category in her school this time.

Today, I am a very proud mom. I went to school to see my daughter up on the stage receiving her first running ribbon. Congratulations RD!

Reflexes are an unlearned or instinctive response to stimulus. Undeniably, some people discover new ‘reflexes’ when they become a parent. To dads and mums out there, you know what this means…

This weblog is dedicated to these people who have, or are still, discovering these REFLEXES…
