Hillsong Live Recording 2008

By reflexes March 10, 2008

It was our first time to join the Hillsong community in their live recording for their newest album “ This is our God” held in Acer Arena.

Tickets were sold $5 each but were refundable after the service. People came in early forming long queues in the lobby while waiting for the gates to open. While walking to the gates, we passed by these queues and somehow felt glad as we knew we’re getting a preview of some faces we’ll be seeing in heaven. When it’s finally time to enter, everyone was eager and excited to get inside. Though the venue was big (21,000 seat capacity), it was still very difficult to get seated. Thanks to some friends who got in first and helped us get our seats.

Upon entering, we were amazed at how well the venue was setup. Three screens were positioned onstage (with a huge wide screen spanning almost the entire stage!) to present song lyrics as well as live video of the worship/song leader and musicians. Anyway, it wasn’t long and worship started with lights, voices, and instruments all in harmony. The praise and worship time was great. It was so nice to see people come together to praise and magnify God’s greatness through their singing, dancing, and hands lifted up. What an awesome experience. We were really led to worship the Lord. Praise God for using Hillsong Church for His glory!

[...] be an event where people can have a unique worship experience. I can say that because we were there last year. We’re going there again next Sunday to join other people in an evening to praise and worship [...]
